Spine Injury Evaluation for Forest Park Auto Accident Injuries

This service helps patients decide what their symptoms may require after a motor vehicle collision. We assess the spine and related nerves, then connect the findings to a practical treatment discussion.

Persistent pain can come with trauma history, weak reflexes, or changes in sensation. Customers who notice these changes need a careful exam and clear records, especially when symptoms affect work, sleep, or daily movement.

The key decision is whether the findings support continued conservative care, interventional treatment, or further medical review. Imaging is considered when the examination and injury history point to a structural concern. We don't order tests simply to create a larger treatment plan.

  • Note when pain, numbness, weakness, or reduced movement began.
  • Bring available crash records, prior medical records, and medication details.
  • Ask how examination findings affect the need for imaging or treatment.
  • Discuss documentation needs with our team or your referring attorney.

Process

How We Assess A Crash-Related Spine Injury

1

Review the crash and symptom history

We discuss the collision, symptom onset, pain pattern, prior care, medicines, and changes in daily activity.

2

Check movement and nerve function

We examine spinal movement, strength, sensation, reflexes, and signs that pain may travel along a nerve.

We decide whether imaging or another medical review fits the examination and trauma history.

4

Explain treatment options

We review conservative care and possible interventional options, including injections or nerve blocks when clinically appropriate.

5

Create the medical record and plan

We document the findings and explain the next medical steps to the patient and authorized referring parties.

I had a great experience at premier injury specialist after my car accident. From the moment I walked in, Tracy, the patient coordinator, made sure I understood the process and felt comfortable. Tony, the medical assistant, did an amazing job explaining the procedure in detail, which eased my nerves. Dr. Vyas thoroughly reviewed my MRI and took the time to explain my condition and treatment options. He was very honest and upfront about the procedure, making sure I truly needed the injection before administering it. His transparency and genuine care for my well-being reassured me that this office isn’t just in it for the money — they are truly invested in their patients’ health. I highly recommend this office to anyone in need of pain management. They provide exceptional care with professionalism and integrity.

Questions About Crash-Related Spine Care

What does a pain management physician check after a crash?

A pain management physician checks pain patterns, movement, strength, sensation, reflexes, and nerve symptoms after a crash. Our team also reviews the collision history, prior treatment, and available records. These findings help us discuss whether continued observation, imaging, an injection, or another treatment path fits the patient’s condition.

How do injections fit into care for a herniated disc?

Injections may help manage pain linked to a herniated disc when the examination supports that option. We may discuss an epidural steroid injection after reviewing symptoms, records, and nerve findings. The procedure does not replace the evaluation. Patients receive an explanation of the purpose, expected medical considerations, and other suitable options.

Which records should I bring to the first visit for Spine Injury Evaluation?

Crash records, prior medical notes, imaging reports, medication details, and insurance information can help us assess the injury.

  • Bring reports from earlier evaluations.
  • List current medicines and past treatments.
  • Describe symptom changes since the collision.

Attorneys may also coordinate documentation directly with our practice.

Why might back pain travel into the leg?

Leg pain can occur when irritation affects a nerve connected to the lower back. Sciatica and radiculopathy are examples of symptoms we assess during a spine evaluation. We check sensation, strength, reflexes, and movement, then explain what the findings may mean. Severe or worsening weakness needs prompt medical attention.

Can I schedule an evaluation without a referral for Spine Injury Evaluation?

Most patients can schedule an evaluation without a referral. Our team reviews the crash history and symptoms during the consultation, then explains the next medical step. Same-day evaluations are often available. Patients should still share prior records when they have them, especially if imaging or earlier treatment has already occurred.

What has to be reviewed before the price of an injection plan is set?

The cost depends on the medical evaluation, procedure discussed, records reviewed, and billing route for the case. MedPay or an attorney lien may apply when appropriate. We explain the consultation and treatment plan before care proceeds. Patients can ask our team which documents are needed to discuss their specific billing situation.
